Target Market - UK tribes

The target market for our band 'Presbyterian church of Korea' is stereotyped by UKtribes to be 'Creatives' and 'Indie scenesters'. The band will be aimed more specifically at the 'Creatives' segment but will appeal to indie scenesters, all the way to hipsters. This will mainly be due to the band being relatively unknown, which as you can imagine will appeal to music purists that fit in to these stereotyped groups. Our target market will enjoy listening to new and undiscovered music and may listen to the likes of our band to be pretentiously 'cool'. Despite this, our band, and their music will appeal to a wide age range within these groups, age 16-50. This is due to the indietronic style of music which is liked by a wide age range, an existing example of this kind of band are Hot Chip, who we both listen to and so do our dads. The interests of our target market may range from spending hours trolling through record stores, to living a creative lifestyle full of art, photography, music and fashion.

  1. Beyond simple print screening you need a few lines explaining what you've learnt from your research on UK tribes and how you will use this to your advantage when constructing your video and your promotion of your artist via twitter and your digipak and poster.
